Our planet is something amazing, words couldn´t describe it. In our daily life, we don´t appreciate the beautiful world we live. Last post I have talked about the icebergs and their beauty, but the icebergs are a microscopic part of the world beauties. Living in the city turns difficult to see them, but I don´t wanna say that cities are not beautiful, they are. I´m talking about the natural beauty, and we can count the numbers of cities with it.Most of us just see it in tv, in BBC shows or something like that. I will not take you on a trip to these places, a real trip but I can show you some pictures that are photographed in a different way, another perspective of the world. See things in a different perspective is important for open our mind in relation to our position and scale in the world or even in the universe. The photographs that I will show are photographed in a plane, aerial photographs, and the pictures aren´t rudimentary like google earths or something like that, but taken by professional photographers that had worked a lot to take this pictures.Their hard work as compensated at the end, as you can see below.

Icebergs are extremly important. We need to preserve it, and for do it we have to protect the nature. Stop with our pollution habits isn´t easy but is an obligation to everyone, it´s time to stop with it. The increase of gases in the atmosphere are destroying the icebergs, because the increase of temperatures in the world. Ice melt is provoked by hot temperatures, this is obvious.

Natural world have beautiful things, but this huge variety of things can disapear with our habits. Icebergs are too beautiful to disapear, their huge size, whiteness,the hidden part and the silence.

If nothing change about it, the only way to see an iceberg will be in snow globes. Yes, snow globes!! The ones that everyone brings after holidays as souvenirs, or given in the christmas as a gift white Santa or another figure, and when you shake the globe it looks like it´s snowing.

We can find many forms of snow globes and with various figures, the most known is the Santa Claus model, but exist many more, with fishes and dolfins, with houses, animals and even soem with skary scenes.

I think anyone wants to see all amazing animals, spaces, landscapes, habitats that exist in our world in snow globes. So I will show below some images of snow globes, for everyone start think in these issues.

Today I have seen a great movie. ” Il Divo” from Paolo Sorrentino. I didn´t know him, but know I think he is a wonderful director, some sequences and plans in the movie show his skills. He won the jury prize in Cannes(2008) because of something, so isn´t me the only one thinking this way.

The story was about Italian Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti (Toni Servillo), who has been elected for seven times since 1946, he was a strange man, ambiguous, calm, fear is something he doesn´t know what it is. He was from the  Christian Democratic party, that in the 80´s start to be investigated because of accusations of mafia connections, murders, suborn  and more things. Andreotti was the principal suspicious because his possibles ties to the Mafia, and for the murders of important figures as bankers, judges, politicians, even from his party like Aldo Moro, that was kidnaped by a communist fraction and later forgotten by his friends who want him dead by the hands of his kidnapers. Many people was involved in this scandel, know as operation “clean hands” and “Tangentopoli”.

The story of his ties with Mafia is a curious case because it is fundamented in a kiss of honour between him  and the mafia boss, that was never discovered if it was true or not. Andreotti have never been in jail, one time he was accused and received a 24 years sentence but later suspended for some reason. You should see it, great movie, great story, great actors and a great director.

Pop-art like almost everyone of us think, doesn´t start in the United States of America, the country of Coca-Cola, capitalism, mass prodution, Elvis and Marilyn Monroe. It was in America that Pop-art lasted longer and where the most popular pop artists appear, like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenberg or James Rosenquist. We can find too in America some precursers of Pop-art like Robert Rauschenberg or Jasper Johns, but the progenitors of it was a English artists group, the Independent Group, and the artist Peter Blake.

The Independent Group was formed by Richard Hamilton, Eduardo Paolozzi, William Turnbull, Nigel Henderson, John McHale, Frank Cordell and others. This started in England, but the funniest thing is that their references came from the american culture. For example Paolozzoli in his works use images from American magazines, that were composed of advertising, comic strips and assorted graphics. They have focused on American mass culture such the western movies, car design, billboards, popular music and things like that. Peter Blake well known by his design for the sleeve of beatles´s album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, was important for Pop-art with his paintings from the 50´s with imagenary from advertisments, music hall entertainment, and his combinations from pop culture with images from fine art.

Toys are not just for kids, adults have their own toys. I´m not talking about plastic cars or video games (this can be for the two) or something like that. what I want to say is that we can buy something and feel like a kid when they have a new toy.

I have a new one, and when I bought it I felt myself as a kid with is new G.I.Joe. My new toy is a digital camera, Canon EOS 500D, with 15.1 MP CMOS sensor, Full HD (1080p) movies, High ISO up to 12800 for low-light conditions, 3.4fps with up to 170 JPEG burst, 3.0” Clear View LCD with Live View mode, 9-point AF system, DIGIC 4, EOS Integrated Cleaning System, EF/EF-S and EX Speedlite compatibility, amazing!!!

With this camera I can photograph my nose hair and print it with excellent quality on my size. During the night I can take pictures without flash, with the same vision as a leopard. I can record with it too, and much more things. The Integrated Cleaning System is something really good, one problem of digital cameras is the dust accumulation during the use, and with this system this is not anymore a problem. The sensor will be allways cleaning, when I turn off the camera the system clean automatically it.

It´s nice being a kid again.
